Review: 2019 Toyota Sequoia

Families in the Los Angeles area looking for a superior SUV with a spacious interior and proven capability should come to Longo Toyota to test drive the new 2019 Toyota Sequoia.

The new 2019 Toyota Sequoia has a powerful engine in each of its trims: SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, and Platinum. A 5.7-liter i-FORCE V8 DOHC engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission which pumps out 381-hp and 401 lb.-ft. of torque. Each trim offers a two-wheel or all-wheel drive powertrain. The TRD Sport grade includes performance-tuned Bilstein® front and rear shock absorbers and anti-sway bars. All three higher trims, TRD Sport, Limited, and Platinum, come standard with 20-inch alloy wheels and an automatic limited-slip differential which delivers greater traction performance on irregular road surfaces. The 2019 Toyota Sequoia is one of the best haulers in its class with 120.1 cubic-feet behind the front seats. Available is Tow/Haul Mode which selects transmission shift points to help optimize power as well as a rear pneumatic height-controlled suspension to adjust the ride height to compensate for changes in the load.

Comfort & Technology
The 2019 Sequoia seats seven or eight people, depending on whether you choose the available second-row captain’s chairs or standard three-person split bench. The second-row bench seating has a 40/20/40 split and the third-row features a 60/40 split, fold-flat capability. Leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats are optional.
