Design

The all-new Yaris Hatchback’s design includes a low-stance with a large sport-inspired front grille, body-color side mirrors and handles, a rear spoiler, a chrome-tipped tailpipe, and 16-inch split-spoke alloy wheels with a dark gunmetal finish. Fabric-trimmed front bucket seats, versatile 60/40 split fold-down rear seats, and an easy-access hatchback with 15.86 cubic feet of trunk space come standard. Leatherette-trimmed seating and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are optional.

Performance

The Yaris Hatchback is available in LE and XLE trims, both of which are equipped with a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder direct fuel injection engine. With a front-wheel drivetrain and a six-speed automatic transmission, this all-new subcompact generates 106-hp and achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 40 mpg on the highway and 32 mpg of city driving. Sport driving mode is included for increased responsiveness.

Technology

Advanced technology comes standard in the form of a 7.0-inch touchscreen display, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, Bluetooth®, HD Radio™, Stitcher, and Aha Radio™ applications, SiriusXM® satellite radio, and a 6-speaker sound system. Additionally, two USB ports, navigation capability, side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and a Smart Key System with push-button start are included.

Safety

The 2020 Yaris Hatchback earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration*. To promote the safety of all passengers, Toyota includes its advanced Active Safety System. This system incorporates dynamic stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and a brake override system. A rear back-up camera, an advanced 6-airbag system, and low-speed pre-collision are standard. Optional are automatic LED headlamps to magnify visibility and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
