Design and Performance

The Toyota Tacoma’s versatile design provides thirty different configurations including the option between access or double cab, a standard 6-foot bed or available 5-foot short bed, 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrains, 16- to 18-inch wheels, as well as six different models. The Tacoma pickup truck is ready for daily commuting, off-roading, and heavy work with a maximum 6,800-pound towing and 1,440-pound payload capacity. The muscle behind the 2020 Tacoma is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine in tandem with a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain which generates 159-hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. A 278-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, Multi-terrain Select, and Crawl Control are optional.

Comfort and Convenience

The Tacoma comes standard with an ultra-durable composite bed liner, an innovative deck rail system with four repositionable tie-down cleats, six fixed tie-down eyes, two storage compartments, a sliding rear glass, and fabric-trimmed seats. In addition, the rear seat in the crew cab can be folded-forward, resulting in a flat loading surface. Available are a new LED bed lamp, 120-volt, 400-watt deck-mounted AC power outlet, front and rear mudguards, a power sliding rear window, leather-trimmed seats, new 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power moonroof.
