The 2022 Tundra – Born From Invincible

Our daring and dependable DNA has been passed down for generations. It’s grown in strength, explored every continent, and conquered impossible obstacles. Now it’s time for the latest evolution of our fearless legacy. Introducing the all-new 2022 Tundra. Our most powerful, most capable and most advanced body-on-frame truck ever.

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2022

Good-bye V8. Hello turbo.

The new Tundra features a highly efficient twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine which offers impressive output by itself, producing up to 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque. When paired with a brilliantly engineered bell-housing motor system called the iFORCE MAX, the result is a combined performance output of 437 horsepower and a whopping 583 lb-ft. of torque. Both configurations will be mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

A Modern Display

A new 8-inch touch screen comes standard on the Tundra, with an available upgrade to a 14 inch display. The system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Tundra also brings the first ever Toyota virtual assistant to the vehicle. Simply say "Hey/Hi/Hello/OK Toyota" to change the cabin temperature, set a new destination on your map, and more.

All New Safety Features

New on the Tundra is Toyota’s Integrated Trailer Brake Controller. The system automatically senses there’s a trailer connected, estimates its length and activates Trailer Merge Warning – all without any input from the driver. And when you’re reversing out of a tight spot, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps detect vehicles approaching from either side, warning you with side mirror indicators and a warning tone. Altogether, Tundra’s advanced safety technologies bring added peace of mind to every journey.

Multi-Link Suspension

The most noteworthy change to handling and performance is no doubt the new multi-link rear suspension, which ditches leaf springs in favor of coil springs. Ride comfort, straight-line stability and overall handling dynamics are improved with the multi-link rear suspension, along with towing capability. The maximum towing capacity for Tundra increases to 12,000 pounds and maximum payload increases to 1,940 pounds.
