The 2024 Toyota Tacoma vs. Toyota Tundra

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma vs. Toyota Tundra

Aside from producing some of the best SUVs and passenger cars on the road, Toyota is also the automaker behind two of the world's finest pickup trucks: the Tacoma and the Tundra. Both are highly capable and widely loved workhorses, but they offer different performance levels and largely appeal to separate audiences. If you're in the market for a new Toyota pickup and are wondering about the distinctive qualities of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma versus the Tundra, let our team at Longo Toyota in El Monte, California, guide you through the differences so you can make a well-informed decision between them. more Exterior Design You may be happy to know the 2024 model year represents a transition into a new, fourth generation for the Toyota Tacoma if exterior design is a selling point for you. It's now built on a version of the same body-on-frame platform that the Tundra had boasted for years. The chassis is lighter and stronger than ever, while the exterior styling features sharper lines and crisper edges than the outgoing model. The front end is bolder in an understated way, lending a more muscular and modern appearance. The Tundra, however, had already undergone a redesign in 2022, so the 2024 model year is a carryover in terms of styling. It maintains the bulky and edgy look that is now common among vehicles of its class. Class and Dimensions When we talk about a vehicle's class, we're referring broadly to its size. The Tacoma and the Tundra are both Toyota pickup trucks but belong to different classes. The Tacoma is a midsize pickup, a class that generally measures at least 210 inches long and 73 inches wide. The 2024 Tacoma slightly exceeds those minimum measurements, coming in at an overall length of 213 inches and a width that ranges from 77 to 78 inches, depending on the trim. Also, it's worth noting that the Tacoma is the leader in its class, outselling others by a huge margin. The Tundra is a full-size truck, so it's noticeably larger. Some full-size pickups measure more than 22 feet long, but the Tundra is more reasonably sized than that. Short-bed models have a length of around 233 inches, while long-bed versions range from approximately 245 to 252 inches. The Tundra also measures 80.2 inches in width, except for the TRD Pro trim, which is 81.6 inches wide. Being the larger vehicle, the Tundra can better handle large hauls and perform those archetypal work site activities for which full-size pickups are renowned. That being the case, it's likely your better option if such activities are part of your day-to-day use. Otherwise, you might consider the Tacoma instead as a versatile daily driver. Powertrains and Performance Power is another distinguishing category between the classes, with full-size pickup engines tending to be more powerful and robust than their midsize counterparts. That's certainly the case with the 2024 Toyota pickups, so keep the following in mind if you need a brawnier vehicle. With the Tundra, the standard powertrain option is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission, generating 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque — good enough to get you from zero to 60 mph in a hair over 6 seconds. There's also a hybrid version of the Tundra that's even more powerfu, with 437 hp, 583 lb-ft of torque, and a zero-to-60 speed in around 5.7 seconds. The 2024 Tacoma features a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder across all trims, but the output varies depending on your transmission choice and, to some extent, your trim. The SR trim, which is strictly automatic, makes 228 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque; other automatics put out 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. The manual transmissions generate 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. There is also a hybrid version of the Tacoma, which gets you 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers can't match the Tundra but are still good for zero-to-60-mph times of around 7 seconds. Towing Capacity According to Toyota's official spec sheet, when appropriately equipped, the 2024 Tacoma can pull 6,400 and 6,500 pounds with the double cab and XtraCab configurations, respectively. That's quite good for recreational hauling, and you should have no trouble pulling items such as car trailers, boat trailers, motorboats, and campers. Unsurprisingly, the heavier-duty Tundra can tow significantly more. Even on the low end, you're looking at a towing capacity of 8,300 pounds for the base SR trim. From there, the pulling power ranges up to 12,000 pounds — nearly double that of the Tacoma. If you need the kind of ruggedness that can hold up on a work site, the Tundra is the better bet. The Tacoma, however, would be ideal for just about any other everyday activity. Price Their differences in size and performance amount to a pretty large difference in price points. The 2024 Tacoma is the more affordable model, with the following starting MSRPs: SR: $35,000. SR5: $36,200. TRD PreRunner: $38,100. TRD Sport: $39,400. TRD Off-Road: $41,800. Limited: $52,100. Toyota has announced there will be Trailhunter and TRD Pro trims as well, but price points for those have yet to be released. In contrast, pricing for the 2024 Toyota Tundra looks like this: SR: $39,965. SR5: $45,500. Limited: $51,855. Platinum: $61,775. 1794 Edition: $62,460. TRD Pro: $72,130. Capstone: $78,845. The pricing accords with the overall character of each vehicle. The more egalitarian Tacoma is accessible to a broader audience, while the utilitarian Tundra is more of an investment for those who need the added power and rugged force to tackle heavy-duty work. 2024 Toyota bZ3X

2024 Toyota bZ3X: An Electric Vehicle for Everyone

Toyota plans to launch 10 new electric vehicles (EVs) by 2026. This is part of its plan to expand its range of zero-emissions vehicles and become a carbon-neutral automaker. The 2024 Toyota bZ3X is part of Toyota's Beyond Zero model lineup that's designed to minimize impact on the planet. Details around its engine, battery size, and driving range have yet to be officially confirmed by Toyota. However, in this article our team at Longo Toyota in El Monte, California, take a look at what you can reasonably expect from the bZ3X. more Toyota's EV Coupe: What We Know So Far Toyota has yet to confirm a release date for the 2024 Toyota bZ3X. However, we expect the company to release it to the market before the end of 2023. As a carryover model, the bZ3X could have a similar design but a slightly smaller, lightweight build to the 2023 Toyota bZ4X that's currently on sale. The entry-level electric crossover could feature a coupe-like roof and muscular shoulders. We expect a hammerhead shark front styling with short overhangs, two-tone wheels, and contrasting exterior colors. We predict the bZ3X to feature four-part LED headlamps, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, and wrap-around taillights. It could also have plastic body cladding for a sporty and confident look. With a focus on keeping costs down, Toyota will probably have to sacrifice a bit of power and driving range for this model. Power and Performance Toyota has yet to release the specifics for the 2024 Toyota bZ3X engine specs. However, we expect impressive performance because of its sustainable all-electric powertrain. Based on the current bZ4X, we believe the bZ3X will have a single-motor front-wheel-drive (FWD) system. It could also have a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with multiple terrain modes. With instant torque delivered by the electric motor, you can look forward to rapid acceleration and a quiet ride. That being said, we don't expect the bZ3X to be much more powerful than the bZ4X. The current version delivers 201 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque with its FWD single motor. When equipped with AWD and dual motors, the bZ4X delivers 107 horsepower and 124 lb-ft of torque from each motor for a combined 214 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. We assume that the bZ3X will be underpinned on the same electric-Toyota New Global Architecture platform as the larger bZ4X. If so, we can expect similar crisp handling and a comfortable ride. Electric Driving Range The 2024 Toyota bZ3X range depends on the size of the battery pack Toyota gifts it. We expect it to have a battery offering anything between 65 to 75 kWh. If this is the case, we expect the battery packs to deliver a combined system output of over 210 horsepower. It could last between 240 and 270 miles before needing a recharge. However, Toyota hasn't released the battery specs yet. We'll update this page with the latest information when it's available. Charging Time The bZ4X charges to 80% in around 30 minutes with a 150 kW DC fast charger for the FWD model and a 100 kW DC fast charger for the AWD model. We don't expect the bZ3X to have a much larger battery than this, so it should recharge in around the same time. 2024 Toyota bZ3X Zero-To-60-Mph Time The bZ4X accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. The 2024 Toyota bZ3X could offer even more rapid acceleration because of its presumably lighter build. With a single electric motor, you could expect the 2024 Toyota bz3X to go from zero to 60 mph in less than seven seconds. If equipped with the higher output dual-motor, it could do it in as little as six seconds. Interior Comfort and Features Toyota has a reputation for comfort and ride quality, and we expect this model to be no different. Based on the bZ4X, we expect the bZ3X to have a minimalist look but a spacious and roomy interior for front and rear passengers. It could feature sustainable upholstery and trims, ergonomic and comfy seats, and multiple storage pockets and cubbies. We expect adjustable seating and Toyota's advanced noise-canceling technology to maintain the dependable comfort it's known for. While the base bZ4X has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touch screen, we're hoping for dual 12.3-inch digital displays in the bZ3X. This includes an advanced digital instrument cluster and touch-screen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other expected features include dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof. The bZ4X base also comes standard with six speakers, a wireless charging pad, and satellite radio. It boasts four USB-C ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and navigation. Available features include a nine-speaker JBL audio system and a digital key. Safety Features We anticipate the bZ3X will come with many of the same safety features as the bZ4X. This includes advanced driver-assistance systems for enhanced safety. The bZ4X currently comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes automatic high beams, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warnings, dynamic radar cruise control, road sign assistance, and lane tracing assistance. For peace of mind while driving your EV, we expect the 2024 Toyota bZ3X to have more information on the instrument cluster, including details about the vehicle charging status and driving range. Expected Price Positioned below the bZ4X in Toyota's range of SUVs, we can reasonably assume the 2024 Toyota bZ3X will cost less than the bZ4X. However, we expect it to offer much better value. The bZ4X has a starting MSRP of $42,000, so we can expect the bZ3X to have a starting MSRP of around $38,000 to $40,000. Take the 2024 Toyota bZ3X for a Test Drive The 2024 Toyota bZ3X is set to offer a great-value entry-level alternative to the larger existing bZ4X. While we don't think it'll have more powerful engines or batteries than the existing model, we do expect many of the same incredible features. Not to mention a more affordable price point. Are you tempted to experience the difference between the bZ3X and the bZ4X for yourself? Visit Longo Toyota in El Monte, California, to take the 2024 Toyota bZ3X for a test drive when they hit the lots.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser: A Return to Greatness

The Toyota Land Cruiser is back — and it's better than ever. The powerhouse SUV makes its triumphant return in 2024, ending its three-year hiatus on the market. In those three years, Toyota has revamped the Land Cruiser, equipping it with new hybrid power while ensuring it's just as off-road ready as you remember. Explore this one-stop guide to discover everything you need to know about the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, including its cost, convenience, and capabilities. more Why Did Toyota Stop Making/Discontinue the Land Cruiser? Toyota discontinued production of the Land Cruiser in 2021, stating the SUV would not return for the 2022 model year. Even at the time, there were hints that Toyota planned to bring back the beloved off-roader in the future. Sales spiked significantly after the automaker's announcement, and sources told multiple outlets that there could be a return of the Land Cruiser in a few years. Sure enough, Toyota revealed in July that it would return the Land Cruiser to its lineup in 2024, proving yet again that you can't keep a good thing down for long. "With 65 years of heritage, you can choose to slow down or reinvent yourself. We chose the latter," Toyota said in a news release at the time. Over the last few years, it's clear Toyota has carefully considered how to keep the Land Cruiser true to its off-roading roots while also making the SUV accessible to everyone, whether you prefer to hit the road or the trails. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Cost and Trims Toyota hasn't released official details about pricing for the 2024 Land Cruiser, but the automaker has said it will have a starting MSRP in the mid-$50,000 range. That's lower than the last time the SUV was on the market, which is largely due to its smaller frame. The new Land Cruiser will strictly be a two-row vehicle with seating for five passengers. While smaller, the 2024 Land Cruiser isn't any less capable on rugged terrain than previous models. With its narrower body and hybrid power, the all-new Land Cruiser is ready to kick up some dirt. With a simple grade structure, the 2024 Land Cruiser will come in two trims: the Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser. In addition, Toyota will release a limited number of Land Cruisers in a First Edition trim for the first two months of production. The Land Cruiser First Edition models will feature a striking two-tone exterior and come with additional off-road equipment such as a roof rack, a front skid plate, and rock rails. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Performance and Capability New-generation Land Cruisers will get a hybrid powertrain across the lineup for increased efficiency. A turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine pairs with two electric motors, generating a total output of 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Every Land Cruiser will also have an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. The system sends power continuously to the front and rear axles for enhanced traction on challenging roads. A center-locking differential provides additional off-roading capabilities with the touch of a button. The all-new Land Cruiser effortlessly blends form and function, using a body-on-frame platform and a high-strength steel chassis. The available Multi-Terrain Select system allows you to adjust the settings depending on whether you're driving over mud, dirt, or sand. A standard Crawl Control function controls braking and acceleration when you're driving at lower speeds on difficult terrain, meaning you can focus on steering. Plus, a Multi-Terrain Monitor gives you additional confidence by showing you potential obstacles on the trail through the SUV's touch-screen display. The new Land Cruiser is built for all the roads — or non-roads — you might encounter. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Design True to its roots, the all-new Land Cruiser will make its signature statement on the Southern California roadways. The 1958 trim features a classic, simplified style, with retro LED headlights and a bold heritage front grille. It has the same squared body profile as previous Land Cruiser generations. The Land Cruiser trim features rectangular LED headlights and color-selectable LED fog lights. Every Land Cruiser rides on 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, meaning you're ready for any adventure. Inside, the 2024 Land Cruiser spares no expense when it comes to your comfort and convenience. The Land Cruiser 1958 comes with black fabric seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. By upgrading to the Land Cruiser trim, you'll get synthetic leather seats, plus heated and ventilated front seats for ultimate luxury. The limited Land Cruiser First Edition models come exclusively with leather-trimmed seats and a unique "First Edition" logo on the door panels. 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Technology and Driver Assistance As part of its revamp, the 2024 Land Cruiser will come with the latest state-of-the-art technology and driver-assistance features. An 8-inch touch screen comes standard in the Land Cruiser 1958, while the other two trims get a larger 12.3-inch screen. All Land Cruisers get Toyota's multimedia system, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Dual front-row USB charging ports and a wireless charging pad also come standard, so you don't have to worry about your phone dying when you're off the grid. Plus, the Land Cruiser offers available Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity for up to five devices. Whether you're running errands in El Monte, California, or heading out on a backcountry adventure, you're sure to feel safe and secure behind the wheel of a 2024 Land Cruiser. The SUV comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a suite of advanced safety and driver-assistance features. They include: Pre-collision system with pedestrian detection. Lane departure alert with steering assist. Dynamic radar cruise control. Lane tracing assist. Road sign assist. Automatic high-beam headlights. The new Toyota Safety Sense system also includes proactive driving assist. This system uses the SUV's camera and radar to assist with certain driving tasks, such as distance control between vehicles and gentle braking into curves. So, if you're looking for a reliable and safe sedan while still staying within a budget, this car should be at the top of your list. Power and Performance With the 2024 Toyota Camry, there are three powertrain options. The standard configuration uses a four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver a snappy and smooth driving experience. With this setup, you can expect to get around 202 horsepower. If you want a bit more power, you can upgrade to a V-6 engine that delivers 301 horsepower on the XLE, XSE, and TRD trim levels. Then, there's the hybrid powertrain. The 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid setup uses a gas engine and an electric motor to deliver 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque. This is less powerful than the base engine but provides much better fuel efficiency. Toyota has ensured you'll experience a dependable drive, whichever powertrain option you choose. It fine-tuned the dynamics to provide a more controlled ride and responsive handling. The brake pads are also highly responsive, even for the hybrid models, allowing you to stop quickly when needed. Although it may not win any races, the 2024 Toyota Camry offers exceptional all-around performance at an unbeatable price. Fuel Efficiency Regarding fuel efficiency, each version of the 2024 Toyota Camry uses its fuel very well. The most efficient versions of the 2024 Toyota Camry are the SE and LE models, which use the base engine. These models deliver around 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. The hybrid models, as you'd expect, perform even better. The base LE hybrid gets around 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway. With fuel efficiency ratings like these, you'll save money on gas over the life of your Camry, making it an even more budget-friendly choice. Cabin Comfort Moving inside, the 2024 Toyota Camry offers a spacious and functional cabin. The comfortable materials will help you enjoy your drives, while the design of the center console adds a bit of style to the interior. Passengers will also appreciate their time inside your car, as it offers ample space for even taller passengers in the rear seats. The 2024 Toyota Camry has plenty of cargo space in the large trunk, which you can expand further by folding down the rear seats. You'll want to upgrade to at least the SE trim to get the most luxurious cabin experience in the Toyota Camry. With it, you'll get a cabin full of premium materials, more than you'd likely expect from a sedan at this price. Entertainment Technology Adding to the already excellent interior is the stellar entertainment technology. Each version of the 2024 Toyota Camry comes with Toyota's touch-screen infotainment system, known as Entune 3.0. This infotainment screen makes it easy to play your favorite music, audiobooks, or podcasts and control various other vehicle settings. You can also increase its functionality through the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations. Many features are available through the infotainment system, so we highly recommend you test it out in person to see all it offers. Safety Features Finally, there are the safety features. One of the best things about Toyota is that it makes its driver-assistance technologies available on each Camry model, regardless of the trim level. 2024 Toyota Tacoma: The Jack of all Trucks

If you're in the market for a tough pickup truck, look no further than the upcoming 2024 Toyota Tacoma. This truck packs a powerful punch inside a rugged exterior, all while delivering a comfortable driving experience. To help you decide if this is the truck for you, we at Longo Toyota in El Monte, California, want to provide you with an overview of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. more Rugged Exterior Styling One look at the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, and you'll know it's ready for practically anything. The exterior design of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is rugged while still looking like a modern truck. The first thing you'll likely notice is the honeycomb-style front grille and the angular lines along the hood. There's also the raised suspension to give you more ground clearance, along with the all-terrain tires. Finally, the large pickup bed offers you plenty of cargo space for whatever your needs may be. Powerful and Versatile Performance Every version of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma uses the same engine, although there are a few options available with it. The base engine, which comes on the entry-level SR trim level, is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 228 horsepower. All the other trims get an improved i-FORCE variation of this engine, which delivers up to 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque when you pair it with an automatic transmission. However, a hybrid version of the i-FORCE setup is also available, called the i-FORCE MAX, which produces up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. These engine configurations and other features allow the Tacoma to excel when going off-road or performing heavy-duty work. For example, the Trailhunter and TRD Pro trim levels come with underbody protection and exclusive suspension parts to better handle tough terrain. In addition, with the i-FORCE engine and automatic transmission, your Tacoma will be able to tow up to 6,500 pounds. Opting for the hybrid version instead allows you to tow up to 6,000 pounds. In either case, you'll have a truck that's ready for work or your next adventure. Fuel Efficiency Official estimates of the fuel efficiency for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma aren't out yet. The 2023 Toyota Tacoma received around 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway at its most efficient. The 2024 models should get around the same fuel efficiency ratings. However, the 2023 model didn't have a hybrid powertrain available. As hybrid trucks are typically much more fuel-efficient than their gas counterparts, we expect the hybrid model to perform similarly. Some estimates place the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid at around 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, although we'll have to wait for EPA to confirm this. Interior Comfort With the 2024 model, Toyota made some significant improvements to the Tacoma's cabin. It now has an entirely new design that uses more premium materials and a simplified dashboard. Drivers will also have a better view of the road thanks to a raised driving position. To compensate for this, the Tacoma also comes with additional headroom and an adjustable steering wheel so you can make driving more comfortable and still have plenty of room. There are also many optional cabin features available depending on which trim level you select. Some of these features include: IsoDynamic Performance Seats for more comfort on uneven terrain. A large 12.3-inch all-digital gauge cluster. A head-up display. Heated and cooled front seats. Finally, there are two body options available: the extended cab (XtraCab) and the crew cab (Double Cab). Which body style you select determines how much interior space you get. If you opt for the XtraCab, you can only pair this with the 6-foot cargo bed, while the Double Cab can get either the 6-foot or 5-foot bed. Modern Entertainment Features To elevate the interior of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma further, it comes packed with the latest entertainment features. It all starts with the 8-inch infotainment system, which you can upgrade to a larger 14-inch touch screen on higher trims. Either way, you can use this touch screen to access numerous vehicle settings and features. The infotainment system can also connect to your smartphone wirelessly thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations. A few of the other optional features include a wireless charging pad, a detachable Bluetooth speaker, and a premium JBL audio system. The Latest Safety Technology Finally, each version of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma comes with a suite of driver-assistance and safety features. A few of the many standard safety features include: Adaptive cruise control. Automatic high beams. Forward collision warning. Automated emergency braking. Lane departure warning. Lane-keeping assist. You also have the option to upgrade these features further by adding blind-spot monitoring and a rear cross-traffic alert. All these safety features will help keep you safe, whether you're driving down the highway, around a worksite, or on an off-road path. Available Trims We expect the 2024 Toyota Tacoma to have eight available trims. Which trim you select will determine the powertrain you get, the included features and technologies, and the final MSRP. While the MSRP amounts have yet to be announced, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma will likely fall between $28,000 and $50,000, depending on the trim you select. The expected trim levels include: SR. SR5. TRD PreRunner. TRD Sport. TRD Off-Road. Limited. Trailhunter. TRD Pro. A large center console between the seats provides a place to keep your stuff organized and out of the way. Use the various compartments to store your personal items, while drink holders ensure your truck stays spill-free. Knobs and controls are within your reach on the center console and the dash. You'll be able to turn up the volume on the available 10-speaker JBL sound system or crank up the air conditioning or heat to stay at just the right temperature with little effort. The sporty TRD Pro has some upgraded interior features you're sure to want. Covered in a hot red material with black trim, the IsoDynamic Performance Seats in the TRD Pro feel incredible underneath you, especially when you take this truck off the beaten path. These seats have upper and lower gauges that help absorb every bump and dip on the trail. This model also has special badging that makes it stand out. Exterior Design If it's off-road capability you're after, you'll find it in the exterior design features of the Tacoma Hybrid. Better suspension means you won't feel road imperfections no matter where you drive. The FOX QS3 adjustable shocks in the TRD Pro give you the best overall performance of any Tacoma out there. Also helping the TRD Pro stand out are its unique 18-inch alloy wheels sporting 33-inch Goodyear tires that provide all the grip you need regardless of the terrain. TRD Pro trims have underbody protection and a disconnecting front anti-roll bar to make off-roading even more fun. Your Tacoma Hybrid can have a 5-foot short bed or a longer 6-foot bed, depending on your hauling needs. Rumor has it that the Tacoma's truck bed can now support more volume, and the payload capacity will increase to 1,709 pounds. So this truck is ready to work and play. Skid plates and tow hooks on the bumper can help you avoid a potentially tricky situation, and the available power inverter for the truck bed allows you to electrify your drive, producing up to 2,400 watts of power. Efficiency and Power Although Toyota has yet to release the exact Toyota Tacoma Hybrid fuel-efficiency ratings, experts have made some predictions based on data from vehicles with similar hybrid powertrains. The Tundra, for example, has a V-6 hybrid powertrain, as does the Lexus RX 500h, but we don't expect these vehicles to have the same fuel efficiency as the Tacoma because of differences in weight. Some estimates put the Toyota Tacoma's fuel economy below 30 mpg but above 25 mpg combined. We'll have to wait and see what the EPA says when the Tacoma is put to the test. The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid combines gas and battery power to create a powerful driving experience. Its 2.4-liter turbocharged i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain delivers a mind-blowing 326 combined horsepower. You'll feel the power of the maximum 456 lb-ft of torque as you crawl, climb, or accelerate to overcome any obstacle that stands in your way. This power system works with an eight-speed automatic transmission to ensure every drive is smooth and refined. Safety and Technology You don't have to sacrifice safety or technology features for efficiency and off-road prowess when you choose the Tacoma Hybrid. Every Tacoma comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite of safety technologies that give you peace of mind when you're behind the wheel. Some of the more recent features in this suite include road sign assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring is an available safety feature, and several towing options make pulling a trailer a breeze. A standard 8-inch touch screen or optional 14-inch display screen is front and center in the cockpit of the Tacoma Hybrid, ensuring you stay connected on the go. Toyota's infotainment system makes it simple to pair your device with your truck to access playlists or make hands-free calls. The system works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to seamlessly connect you to your digital world. Use the USB ports throughout the cabin to keep your devices charged, or go with the wireless charger and avoid searching for a cord. 2024 Toyota Tundra

What's New in The 2024 Toyota Tundra?

There's a new player on the pickup truck field, and it's making quite an impression. The 2024 Toyota Tundra, which Toyota is set to release in the fall of 2023, promises a blend of strength, technology, and design that's sure to excite both off-road adventurers and city slickers alike. more Performance Enhancements Under the hood of the 2024 Toyota Tundra lies an electrified i-FORCE MAX powertrain. This beastly engine combines a twin-turbo V-6 with an electric motor, resulting in an impressive output of 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. With maximum torque achieved at 2,400 rpm, this powertrain is built with quality, durability, and Toyota's renowned reliability. The Tundra isn't just about raw power though; it also boasts impressive towing capabilities. With a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds, this truck is ready for any heavy-duty task you throw its way. Aiding in control and torque delivery is a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. Hybrid Efficiency The i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain isn't just about power; it also delivers impressive fuel efficiency. The manufacturer-estimated miles-per-gallon ratings promise up to 22 combined mpg with the hybrid powertrain — an excellent figure for a full-size pickup truck. Further enhancing performance and efficiency are the i-FORCE MAX hybrid electric motor and battery system. Using a power control unit, this system optimizes the torque curve for instant and consistent delivery of force. Power gets stored in a sealed nickel-metal hydride battery pack rated at 288V. Off-Road and Handling Features The Tundra offers advanced features such as Crawl Control, which is designed to help you navigate tough off-road terrain smoothly. With Multi-Terrain Select adjusting throttle and traction control based on different terrains, you're equipped for any adventure. An available electronically locking rear differential evenly distributes power between the rear wheels for improved traction during off-road adventures or challenging road conditions. To enhance off-road capability further, there's an optional 3-inch suspension lift kit. For handling heavy loads more efficiently, a load-leveling rear height control air suspension is also available. Also, thanks to the adaptive variable suspension, which adjusts the damping force based on road conditions, you can expect a smooth ride whether you're off-roading or cruising down the highway. Technological Innovations Inside the cabin, you'll find advanced tech features that provide convenience and connectivity. The centerpiece is a massive 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touch screen that provides multiple camera views for easy navigation. Backing up with a trailer attached has never been easier thanks to the Trailer Backup Guide with Straight Path Assist, which uses sensors and cameras to guide your path accurately. For added situational awareness while driving or parking, there's also a Panoramic View Monitor, which provides you with a comprehensive 360-degree view around your vehicle. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility ensures seamless smartphone integration, while SiriusXM keeps you entertained with ad-free music, sports commentary, news updates, entertainment channels, and more. Design and Exterior The rugged charm of the Tundra extends beyond its performance specs — it's also reflected in its bold exterior design. A boxed steel frame enhances rigidity, while multilink rear suspension improves the Tundra's ride comfort and towing ability. Premium LED headlights illuminate your path ahead, while dynamic sequential turn signals add an extra touch of style to your ride. Distinctive styling options are available with Platinum and 1794 Edition trims if you want to stand out from the crowd even more. Interior Comfort and Utility Inside, comfort meets utility with features such as heated and ventilated seats, ensuring all-season comfort regardless of the outside temperature. An ultra-durable composite bed provides ample cargo space, while the bed utility features, such as a deck rail system, allow for organized storage options. CrewMax models come with an extended bed length of 6.5 feet for added versatility, while the American walnut wood-grain trim adds a touch of luxury to your ride. Safety and Connectivity Safety comes first in every Toyota vehicle — the Tundra being no exception — with standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 offering various driver-assistive features, including the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
